Rounds Fired before gun change
When you guys are PD hunting, how many rounds will you fire before going to another rifle so the first one can cool down?

Re: Rounds Fired before gun change
Depends on a few factors.Usually,I have a pretty good idea, how many rounds it takes to get the barrel too warm on a particular rifle, and powder combination, during load work up.Barrel thickness is a factor,as is fluting, and stock vents.I check after 5 fast shots, and watch it close if it's warm.Cleaning usually comes after 50 rounds in a well broke in rifle,in my experience.Your mileage may vary.
