Rem SPS stock replacement

Post by sodwyer »

Thinking about replaceing the factory rem SPS var stock with somthing aftermarket. Any suggestions? looking for a synthetic with a vertical grip availbilty in Canada is crappy. Also is anyone out there bedding the factory stock with good results?

I'm going to replace my SPS Varmint stock with either a Bell and Carlson vertical grip or an H-S Precision, probably the former because it's less $ and I don't intend to put too much money into the rifle. Some may argue the H-S is the better of the two; the B&C does have a full-length bedding block - that alone should make it stiffer than the stock (Hogue?) one - and I'm pretty sure that's a Bell and Carlson on my Cooper Phoenix. Try http://www.stockysstocks.com for good deals.
