Should I go.
Well...
Its not hunting, but I have been offered a little trip for free I am debating this one.
My boss has a little 18' white water jet boat. He loves his toy, and has decided for memorial day to take it up to Riggins Idaho for the salmon run. He asked if my other Co-worker and I would like to tag along. I thought long and hard about this, you know mulling over 12-17lb average fish, the largest Salmon run in the last 20 years (Over 40,000 to date). And I could not make up my mind, So I am comming to you all to ask for advice.
Should I go for 3 days on a world class fishing trip for free. Let me know.
JDB

Re: Should I go.
How many coolers do you currently own?
What size are the coolers?
Does your vehicle have the capacity to haul loaded coolers back to your deep freeze?
Is your deep freeze large enough?
Do you need to clean the deep freeze before leaving?

Re: Should I go.
I'm up to my neck in work, struggling to stay afloat and the boss keeps handing me lead weights.
If I send you a CV, could you pass it on to your boss for me?
Have a great trip, you lucky SOB.

Re: Should I go.
Heck, I would go even if there wasn't any fishing. Some of my fondest memories involves taking the family on trips up the Rogue River from Gold Beach Oregon to Agnes on the jet powered Mail Boats for a catered lunch and back again. There's just nothing like powering up a rapid for stimulating the appetite. Too bad our relatives in Gold Beach have passed away, that was a fun trip. I'd go if I were you.

Re: Should I go.
We did that as a family a couple of years ago. We went as far up as they're allowed. Maybe this year I can catch the one out of Grants Pass. OR and catch the upper 1/3 of the river (well, the upper 1/3 thay have jet boats).Wrangler John wrote:Heck, I would go even if there wasn't any fishing.
