I got the groundhog wacker out and shot one 5 shot group at 100 yards, I waded through the 15 inches of snow to put a target up and shot from the hood of my truck from bipods with a bag under the rear. The rifle is a Howa 1500 heavy barrel, load is 25.1 grains RL 10x, rem brass, cci 400 primers and 39 grain blitzkings
100 yards, 35 degrees, windy, for the conditions and not shooting for 6 months i was tickled.
I would be tickled too! That is good shooting for the conditions you were in. I live in Western Pa. and have got the itch to shoot real bad. I think wed. on my day off I may have to wade through the snow also!!!!! Have a great day, Rudy.
Yeah you are right about that, I saw one hit on a road near state college and one live one out crawling around in the snow. I usaully start hunting hogs April 1st.

Not bad! My VSF puts that almost exact combo, minus the primer, I use 205M's into 3/8" with ruthless consistancy! It sure likes 10X or benchmark, I have 8 pounds of each so i think both my remingtons will be happy for a while!

Nice shooting and thanks for rubbing it in!! I haven't got to shoot since b4 deer season here in NE Pa. We got 24" to 30" here on the ground to wad thru!
Yep days are getting longer and Spring is in the air.
Thanks for sharing.

Life is an adventure and often to short. Make the most with family and friends. Shoot often and shoot a small hole. Love the 204 Ruger!! NRA Life Member

I went to the range today, even though it was windy (10 gusts to 16). Tried some Federal's with 39g SBK's at 100 yards for the very first time, and they seemed pretty good in the conditions. There had only been 30 rounds of 32g Remington AccuTips (total) fired before today. Photos below are of 10 shot groups.
