I'm thinking of trying the 40gr V Max, as a friend of mine as the same rifle I do and gets good accuracy using the 40gr V Max.

I have a Model 700 CDL coming my way--I wonder how these would do?

Welcome to the Forum Adrien. The scoop on the 40gr V-Max is as follows. Some guns like em. Some guns don't. The rest will tolerate them. Mine doesn't like the 40gr V-Max but shoots the 40gr Bergers into 1/2" at 100yds consistently. Good enough for coyotes here in Ohio. I use the 39gr BK's for groundhogs here as they shoot 3/4" at 200yds. You won't know about your new rig til you shoot it. Sorry but that's how it is with the 40gr V-Max.
