I have a Varmint Laminate Stainless Steel Thumb Hole (VLSSTH) in 204 which I think is very similar. The XR-100 is a single shot while the VLSSTH is a repeater, one has a gray stock and is blued the other has a brown stock and is stainless. Otherwise, I believe they are the same.

Mine loves the 26, 32, 35 & 39 grainers. It doesn't care for the 40 VMAX no matter the combination. My rifle has been bedded, free floated and re-crowned. My load is 28 grains of RL-15, Rem 7 1/2 primer, RP case, OAL @ 2.260. It shoots .5" groups at 200 yds in temps ranging from 40-103 degrees with no signs of pressure (cratered primers, hard bolt manipulation, bolt face marks etc...)

Jim, these not the same. The XR-100 is based on the Model 7 action, kind of like the old Rem XP pistol single shot action where your rifle is based on the Rem 700 SA. Plus the XR-100 comes with the 40X trigger to.
