HS Precision Stocks

HS Precision Stocks
Will one of these units make a noticable difference in the way my gun shoots? When the swap ia made there is now bedding and the barrel is floated.....in theory it should do wonders! Think I am going with the SPS stainless in 204 and now that I know the fireball is a keeper going to restock it as well. Any thoughts or comments out there?

I do remember reading a shooting test on the SPS(I do not know where the article was). After shooting the gun for groups with the factory stock, it was replaced with an HS Precision stock. Nothing else was done. The groups tightened up by some 30 percent or so.
I seem to recall that I found this article by Googling "Remington SPS accuracy tests", or something similar.

As for HS Precision stocks...They are nice and make a difference...however, I would recommend the B&C Medalist V/T before the HS stocks. It just didn't fit me right. I felt kinda cramped with the distance to the trigger, it seemed to close. Another reason was the palm swell. It's nice and all but if you have big hands with short fingers...forget it!

IMHO, the B&C is so much better. Fit and Finish wise. Besides, The B&C is pretty close in price to a used HS takeoff. Hope this helps!
ETA: The HS stocks are also known for uneven barrel channels if that is a factor. The B&C channel is tight but mine dropped in perfectly and was dead nut centered.

Thanks for the input guys that other company that was mentioned never heard of them not sure if it can be found up here in canada. Had an HS stock before on a heavy varmint gun and that stock I did not care for the palm swell was too much. It is my understanding the sporter stocks do not have this which is a good thing. Called the local dealer they have one in the color I want so I think I will go for it.

On the other hand, I decided to save a few bucks one time a few years back and bought a B&C, and I no longer own it.... So much for being frugal. I got what I paid for....
As was mentioned, the sporter and the traditional varmint H-S stocks like on the Remington Sendero and the Synthetic Varmint Specials of a few years ago do not have the palm swell... the M&P stock design does have the palm swell.
