Ditto from me as well.

Peace and love will get you killed. Unarmed helplessness is a welcome mat for evil. Self-defense is the most powerful, driving instinct in good people everywhere. To deny it is evil personified. Ted Nugent.

A Thank You from this corner also, although a bit belated. Our thoughts and prayers for those who are still deployed to come home safely.

I've always had a great respect for the men and women who served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces. Words cannot express the respect and gratitude I have for all of them. My son served in the US Army for 4 years and was honorably discharged in Dec. of '07. He was deployed in Baghdad for a year as a truck driver. Even though he put his life on the line every day, he felt what he did was no big deal and it was the guys on patrol who deserved all the credit. I'd image if you ask the soldiers on patrol who deserved the credit, they would say what they did was no big deal and it was someone else deserving the credit. Talking with my wife's great uncle who was one of only a few survivors in his squad on D-day, said he did nothing heroic, but it was his fellow comrades who fell in battle that deserved all the credit and praise. That seems to be the way our troops have always viewed their role in war. My son was notified a couple of months ago that he was being called back into the Army and will either be deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. I hate to see him go back to war but I know if it weren’t for people like him, this country would not be the great country it is. God bless our soldiers and God bless America.
