Results of range trip.........

Post by Keith in Ga »

I'll try the photo thing....doubt if it will work, but here we go. Photo of new rifle.

Here is the best group, 32 gr Blitzking with 26.7 grs Benchmark.

This has been quite a chore for a "computer challenged" pd shooter. If it works, I have opened up a whole new world, if not, I'll be depressed all day.

Guess I know now what kind of day this will be. Oh well, I tried.

That's 3/4 of the battle, right there. I'm sure that the other 1/4 will be overcome easily.

So how do you like the new toy?

Mike, hopefully one of the guys will come to my rescue and tell me what I did wrong.

On a lighter note, the gun really shoots! I tried for the last year to come up with another .20 cal rifle to compliment my .204 Cooper Varminter. I've read, studied, and talked with a number of shooters, and finally settled on another .204 Cooper, only a Phoenix model. The Phoenix likes a little lighter load than the Varminter, but I've shot .1 groups with both rifles in the past couple of weeks. I even thought about building a rifle, but after talking with Rick, for my money and lack of time, decided on the Cooper. If all goes well, this time next week, I'll be "working" on the pd population in Montana. The Varminter is a proven veteran from last year, the Phoenix will have to prove itself. I think both are up to the task!

Keith,

That's a mighty fine group!

As for the pictures, your were 99.9% there. You just accidentally doubled up on the [img] tags.

I pulled off the extra [img]...[/img] and BAM, all was good.

Thanks WW, I knew someone with much more experience would pull me thru. Maybe I'll get the hang of it and be able to post photos from my trip. Thanks again...

AWESOME!

We call that "refrigerator art" at my house. All of the kids are almost out of the house, so there has been a few years without any "artwork" on the front or side of the fridge. So, once in a while, my "artwork" goes on.

Kids think I have COMPLETELY lost my marbles. "Dad, that is not artwork, just holes in the paper!"

My reply...."But, I made it!"
