Post by OldSchool »

I postponed my back recovery as long as I can. Now its time to head back to the sandbox. Will be moving the family home in a couple of weeks then going to kansas for three months in Sept and then deployin in Dec.
Will probably be on here a couple more times before I go but if not I will talk to ya'll when I get situated.

Thanks guys, I will be teaching the Iraqi Army how to fight and then takin them out on operations. Feels kinda wierd knowing I won't have my Stryker this time for protection.

Hawkeye, you can convince one of them bullet makers to produce a boattail 35 grainer for me. I think that would be just about perfect for my jackrabbit bustin.

Yeah it will be tuff but they are doing better than the media lets on. It's hilarious to read the classified reports and talk to buddies over there the whole time I am watching the news and seeing the complete opposite reported by "the worlds best media".
The last time I was there we got in a big gunfight in Mosul when the bad guys tried to kill the Iraqi presidents' family, the Iraqis' (who were just starting to get trained) showed up at the tail end of it to search a couple of buildings for us. Four hours later, CNN is talking about a "small fire fight in Mosul between insurgents and Iraqis' but NO U.S. forces were involved. "
