I paid $389 for my 12FV....but, I would not want to walk around with it.

Not looking to bash you or Remington but your close to the answer.
You bought a walk around coyote gun and want it to be a varminter  Heres a glimpse into the future from a guy who's never even seen a praire dog. Your boys gonna go absolutely nuts waiting for that "pencil barrel" to cool while them rodents go scurrying around.

What type of hanloads did you try? Particulars needed.

Whatever you decide the knowledgable folks on this forum will help you acheive your goals. Good Luck.
