11-26-10 Double

Post by Song Dog »

It all started out as I was doubting going out cuz of a long day tomorrow. Got done cleaning basement (kinda) and headed west from house on foot. Got a pretty good lick out across the field and thought about heading back (MUD) because it has rained for alomost 2 days.
I get set up and started off with a female howl (twice) and waited for a bit and started hitting the Hi-Jacker. Then I started with the Foxpro. I was just about to shut down shop but I always try to get 30 minutes per stand. At the 26 minute mark, I spot a set of eyes, no wait 2 sets,.......1,2,3,4 sets of eyes coming in. The 1st came through the ditch, headed down wind, that I was set up for. I just let it come until it stopped and DRT. Then I started in doing a pup-distress and brought the other 3 back. The lead dog started to get down wind and I let him come in until he stopped and DRT. The remaining 2 headed out of dodge.
The more I shoot the Savage 16 WW in 204 the more I like it, na love it!

That's what I'm talkin' about!!

WTG!!

You do very well at accounting for times, sounds used, etc. There are a lot of lessons packed in that little paragraph.

Headed out tomorrow, but I gotta carry the 6mm284 because I have a whitetail tag in my pocket. I'll let my cousin use the .204 if he decides to come.

Jason,
With the luck you've been having hunting at night, you should sleep during the day and hunt all night. Gotta' love the .204!
Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.

That would be nice but I don't think Chaunda would care to much for it
