Just in case any of you hunt in the area between Belle Fourche, SD and the ND border or in the area around Bowman, ND I thought I would share the location of 7 or 8 red fox carcasses I saw on Sunday, August 29, 2010, while driving from Belle Fourche, SD back to Williston, ND. I'm sure there are several more around where I saw these flattened bodies on the highway. There were other carcasses I saw, but they were so thoroughly flattened I couldn't tell what species they were, but I thought several of them were red fox remains.

Red Fox Carcasses north of Belle Fourche, SD along US Highway 85:

Between mile markers 91 and 92
Between mile markers 113 and 114 which was about 12.5 miles south of Buffalo, SD


Red Fox Carcasses south of Bowman, ND along US Highway 85:

Between mile markers 5 and 6
Between mile markers 11 and 12

Then on the north side of Bowman along US Highway 85:

Another one 300 yards west of the Slope Electric Coop offices
Between mile markers 23 and 24
West of mile marker 44 about 1/4 mile just east of Amidon
Between mile markers 44 and 45

I will take a look myself. I will be going that way in a few weeks.
