NOT trying to out photoshoot an excellent reporter on this site (Silverfox), but the wind was in the 20 mph range and the clouds were dark. So, decided to enjoy the atmosphere that I was surrounded by and enjoying.
My first "double" of the day....
My second "double" of the day....
Breaking in a couple 223 AI's. Shot some 50 gr Nosler BT's and 55 gr SP (MidSouth's Varmint Nightmare). There is such a huge difference in actual bullet drop between the long and slender Nosler and softpoint bullets....regardless of what the ballistic calculator says.
Juuuust nicked this one with a 55 gr SP at 350 yards (fireforming brass to the AI chamber).
So, I had to roll him over....
Just a head shot with a 50 Nosler....
I call this one....Arse Over Tea Kettle....

Acloco...........Nice Pics and way to go on connecting with you AI's. I hear ya on bullet bc. When I started shooting at our 1000 yrd club here in Pa. My one question I asked some older seasoned shooters what do you go after in a cartridge........Velocity or Bc? Because the is no free lunch. All I got was a smile and no true answer.
Any way thanks for share and hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Hotshot - LOL! Thanks buddy.
Ray P - I will keep working on the 55 gr SP's for a great longer distance load. Maybe I will have to seperate by weight and ogive (uuuugh!!!!).
Just about out of 50 gr Nosler's. Will go back to 55 gr VMax, BT's, and some BK's....time will tell.

acloco--You don't worry about old Silverfox--you just keep those photos and reports coming. I enjoy each and every one and thanks for posting them. The wind makes it kind of difficult to get photos sometimes because your subject matter really moves in the wind. On our trip to Utah, I sometimes had my wife act as a wind shield in front of some of the delicate flowers so I could get a decent close-up.
Catch ya L8R--Silverfox

Silver - I hear ya....just enjoyed the atmosphere.
The lens on my cell phone camera is, evidently, really dirty. Those pics are terrible. But, it is what I had with at the time.
