I purchased my son one in 7mm-08 for big game hunting. Shoots outstanding with my reloads. Camo stock w/ blued barrel. Trigger is a little heavy but you can't beat it for the $$.

The stevens 200 is the exact same thing as a standared savage. The only difference is the trigger, you dont get the accu trigger. If you have heard good things about savage than you have heard good things about the stevens 200. Thought a bout getting one myself but hten foun Weatherby's vanguards and they are a way nice rifle for about $100 more. The Vanguards come with a factory adjustable trigger (can't say how nice they realy are but deffenatly nicer than the Stevens).
