Ryan,
Is that blood splatter on the rock (middle, near the top)?

Did the snake steal something freshly shot?

Where is the picture of the dead or headless snake?

What size of boot do you wear? Might only need this snake for both boots! :)

I'm with acloco. That would make nice looking set of boots.
That picture does make a guy think about that taurus revolver that can shoot .410 shot shells.

Yeah this is the second one I have run into in the last week. They where identical in size and color. The first one I jumped over when I was hurring out to set a target and we ran into each other. I hadn't bothered to put on my snake chaps. Luckily when he coiled to strike he fell over the bank on the edge of the trail because I couldn't stop quick enough. The blood on the rock was from where I cut the snakes head off he crawled around for quit a while with out a head.ImageHere is a picture of the other snake that just about got me.
