Poured myself a cup of coffe this morning and saw two yotes out the window 266 yds away. Was gonna grab one of the 204's, but the new 243 Tikka lite was begging me to take it out of the safe. I complied and whacked the female from off of my deck. My new T3 lite is no longer a "virgin. I never did get a chance at the othor one.




Here is the view the yotes had of me laying on my deck sending a factory winchester 80 gr sp into the boiler room.

Gube: Very cool indeed....nice to de-virginize the Tikka like that, nice shot, and very, very nice setting you have there, buddy.

Nice hunting blind. Nothing like shooting off the back deck. Good job. Great looking rifle.

Gube, tell us about the accuracy and how well you like the Tikka. Sure would like to know.

Boy it sure must be nice to have yotes as your closest neighbor up were you live. Great pics thanks for sharing.

Nice work!!

You are really making me hate being in the city. I miss the good old days on the farm of shooting pigeons off of bin roofs from the doorway of the heated shop. It helped the winter pass.

It looks like you could do some waterfowl hunting from you deck as well???

I used to do a lot of "waterfowling" before I took up bowhunting. I do get a lot of Ducks and Geese on the slough and on the "Trout pond" (I've got about 250 rainbows and 150 brookies in it). The ducks and geese constantly fly over quite low over the house especially during the migration season. It would be pretty easy to whack n stack em from my deck as they fly over the house.

I picked up that little beauty last fall when i was in the Grande Prairie region (about 5 hrs away) on an Elk hunt. I've only put about 35 rounds of factory fodder through the tube so far and have been quite impressed with it (under 3/4" groups with most being 1/2"). I have been a Savage and Remington fan most of my life but I've gotta admit the T3 Lite is very well balanced and has silky smooth action which I think will become one of my favorites. I know if I can find another one just like this in a 204, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. I already have Brass, powder, and bullets for re-loading. Just waiting for my dies and other supplies to come in from "Sinclairs". Can't wait to try some "roll your owns" with this new toy.

Hello again Gube, just remembered i had a good friend that emigrated to Sask. in 1982 he since came back but his uncle is still there, if he did'nt die. Both where keen shooters , i will find out if Ronnie is still alive and where he is, you never know you may have a brit.living near you. Regards KB.

Yeah it's my little piece of heaven. I have a lot of wt deer and moose out here as well. I could have shot a 55" bull moose right off of my deck from 10 yds away a couple of years back but I chose not to cuz I like having them around. One year we had a cow moose give birth to a set of twins about 200 yds from the house. We watched them all summer growing up. The moose like to come swimming in my trout pond as well. I like the fact that I can walk down to the pond in my slippers, throw a dry fly on the water, and watch the waterboil when a 25" trout smacks it.
