Snow in the on Mt San Jacinto

Post by Ryan S Albright »

We got another snow fall here in Southern California. We had had quite warm weather but it is still winter. This is Mt San Jacinto which I live at the base of I didn't get very many or a very good shot as I was seperated from my camera to day and it is only a little snap shot camera. I do a lot of my huntiImageng here.

I scheduled a couple of days off after the weekend to go hunting. Last time I went up the snow was so deep I scared my self. I thought I might have to spend the night and walk out. So the next time I went up I packed snow chains and a camp stove so I would have a fighting chance. When I got up on the mountian there was already some one turned side ways in the road and I counldn't get by they had left a note on there rig it was chained but it was only two wheel drive and they had torn the front end off and most of one side trying to get out it looked like a little panic had set in. Any way they had cut me off from getting to where I wanted to go. Take some time off and lets go for it. They are out there. They just need an invite.

Ryan: Who ever thought by living in S. Calif that you'd ever actually need snowshoes to go coyote hunting! Nice shot of the mountain.

Snowed again here yesterday, more on the way today according to the "Weather Guessers". Still on the mend, so spending quality time in the gun room getting ready for Skippy and his pals very soon...... Let me know when you head up this way again this year.
