I know how to take the crows but I have rarely Coyote hunted and never called one in.

Have you guys got any regional advice for me.

I have seen plenty of scat. They are eating deer, rabbit, and birds. The cottontail distresses and howls aren't bringing them in. Neither are the squeaks. No doubt I am doing it wrong so please help out...

Thanks

RPC

Don't give up! If you are finding fresh scat that is where to set up your stand. I look for a place where the coyote has returned to make a deposit in the same spot as before this is a good sign. If you have a electronic call in the day time I always add crow calls to the distress call it helps bring them in. I hunt a lot and only bag about eight coyote a year and I hunt at night also. Its not as easy as people think. You get better by doing. Get at it. I sit on a stool a lot of the time for comfort and to gain height and use shooting stix for stability. Watch the noise when you approach an area. Be sneaky.
