this afternoon. Tried one set up, great looking spot, no good. Tried the second farm, where we were going to try coyotes and wild hogs with the Foxpro. After several minutes of cottontail distress, I saw a big coyote come out of the woods into the field and sit down. I managed to move my sticks and my Tikka .22-250 to line up on him. Shot was approx 150 yds, and the 50 gr v-max wore him out. Switched over to coyote death cry, but no takers.
Phone photo isn't that good, but all I had. We didn't have any luck on the hogs, but did have another coyote start howling up on the ridge. It got so dark we couldn't see, but I don't think he was coming anyway. Used some feathers on fishing line for a decoy. Wind was blowing just enough to keep them moving, and enough to get his attention.
