Well, lately I've been tired of the coyotes eating up all my rabbit hunting, so I decided to strike back. Yesterday evening I setup, not a real great setup, but I decided to give it a try. I start calling and pretty soon my neighbor starts discing (sp?) his field Oh well, I keep calling but nothing comes in. So this evening I tried again. The wind was coming in from the east and all my property is west I finally setup on this little slew that runs about 300 yards from fence to fence and I figure that I will either call one across from me or I will funnel it down the slew.

The blue is my route, with the X as my setup. The red line with the dot is where the coyote came. Pink arrow is the wind direction. I just about shot a rabbit as it came bounding through the sagebrush Gave me a heart attack lol. The coyote came in at about the 8 minute mark and I gave him a soft "woof" he stopped and looked at me. I put the crosshairs in the middle of his chest and squeezed the trigger. I couldn't see it through the recoil of my 22-250 but I could hear the 52gr. Berger striking home. DRT. He was a 26 pound male, probably about 2 years old.
