Here is one I took 2 years ago with my shotgun. Survived a #4shot turkey load at 45 yards, a #4shot Turkey load at 15 yards, but the 430gr. 1 oz rifled slug took care of the jumping at about 10 yards. TOUGH LIL CRITTERS!

Re: Armadillo!
Possum-on-a-half-shell.
I had heard they were moving up Atlanta way, but didn't see my first one in the woods until two years ago. I have only seen 6 or so (the most recent was this past Tuesday and I just couldn't get a clear shot) - and to date, have only shot at one (and that was with a .17HM2).
We won't talk about the one that my HumVee ran into at Ft. Stewart ages ago. All I can say is that it was unintentional.... but I didn't kill that one - the HEMMT behind me wasn't so nice though.

Such a neat creature! Armer plated possum. I can't wait tell they make it to southern California.

Re: Armadillo!
I shot an unlucky armadillo outside warner robins, ga with my 17hmr, prior to the 204 coming about. Bet a 32 V-max could provide much more entertainment...wonder how high they can be launched??

They sure can jump when they are spooked also!
