We get snow here in Southern California about twice a year. So when it snows I beat tracks for the Mountain. Here is a coyote I caught crossing an opening with its mat. I shot him at about 160 yrds out leaning against the back of my vehicle. I was setting in the Xterra wondering which way to go when I spotted two coyotes crossing an opening I shot the one with a 32gr V max and dropped it in its tracks. The other one scooted off real fast. The one I shot kept raising its head up when I got to it it was still alive I shot it at a distance so it would not run off. After a period of time I had to shoot it again from up close it still took a few minutes to expire. There was only one small exit wound.
ryan,
nice dog to bad you didnt get the other one. Some of my family live up there and said they got about a foot of snow.Hopefully it will last awhile I love hunting in it.
