PDogs June 24th

Was able to get out this week to shot some PDOGS, been 13 days since last outing due to weather.
Nice warm morning when I arrived @ 0900, 73 degrees with light winds. Went to a newer shooting area and let the bullets
fly, shooting from the shooting bench in back of truck. Lots of PDOGS out, but after the first round went off they went underground quickly.
Was able to shot 14 rounds taking out 7 of the PDogs! Longest was 343 yards.
Moved over to the “2 Buttes” again, walked in from afar, shot from same point as previous, definitely less targets.
Moved over to the 2nd taller butte and shot back into the larger dog town as I had previously shot at the past 4 weeks.
Also less targets but was able to knock out several in the area. Was shooting prone from the Harris bipod, and shooting mat once again, in the 13 days since I was last there the grass has grown considerably and is so tall it’s hard shooting from the prone position!
The first pictures was from 198 yards, PDog eating in the long grass, first round took it’s head off, so it is flipping and flopping around, I chambered another round and put it out of it’s misery.
The second picture from 148 yards was shooting from top of butte, PDog was in it’s hole peeking out, about 3/4 exposed, blew it up and out of its hole.
Only shot a total of 33 rounds, down considerably from the first outing of 186!
Will probably need to find some “new, fresh” targets next outing.
Only shot for just over 3 hours total and when I left it was 88 degrees!
