More PDogs 5/28

Was able to get out today on another landowners property to take down some PDogs.
Nice sunny about 65 degrees, very light winds.
Landowner said that this piece had not been shot this spring!
More than happy to check it out, lots of dogs and lots of pups out.
Gave lots of pups “flying lessons” their first and last! Had several doubles since the pups like
to huddle on the mound. Most shots from 150-240 yards.
This time of year is very green from the winter snows and our spring rains, by mid July this area will
be very dry and brown.

Congrats on getting out and finding some. I have read that the plague is going around again out there in pdog land and reducing numerous towns to ghost towns.

I wondered about that. Went by one of the bigger towns we shoot, about 25-35 acres, zero dogs, lots of grass.

Lookin' good there, Rex!
The best shots you post are ones that show the actual conditions and places you're shooting. Beautiful place there for sure.

First one so far. Taken with the 17 Hornet, 15.5 gr. NTX, pushed by 12.2 grs. CFEBLK.
Roughly 160 yards. Known in these parts as a whistle pig.

Your Killin' Me Smalls!
Can't ask for a better day than that. Absolutely beautiful scenery and weather conditions. And a Virgin town.
Keep it up.

Talking with the 2 landowners this past week, the plague has been here the last 2 years.
The PDog numbers are down
considerably, numerous PDog towns are now barren. But like any of the plagues it is hit or miss, some towns totally wiped out
and some towns completely untouched.
One of the young pups that got flying lesson!

A little fun this morning. Didn't have to travel any farther than my horse corrals to set up.

Great, sure cuts down on fuel cost traveling to other locations.

I imagine you put the Hornet into play.....

17 Hornet was gun of choice. Little over a 100 yards to the fence line.
