My buddy and I went out yesterday to practice some social distancing. We shot a few ground squirrels and he got this badger with his 6 m/m Rem. and 70 gr. Nosler Varmageddon.

Farmers and ranchers are always glad to see a good badger..
Here is one of my latest, with 17 FB, no exit, sound like a bowl of jelly inside, when picked up. 15.5 NTX does the job. Bill K

Yeah, Ive had farmers/ranchers tell me to shoot every badger I see. This one he shot with the 6 m/m was a no exit either. Hardlly ever an exit on badgers. You can use a bullet that will almost tear a coyote in half and all you get on a badger is an entrance wound. I did shoot one at 111 yds. with my 216 Bee and a 40 gr. V-Max once that went in his right ear and out his left ear. His head felt like mush. And one at 320yds with my 6 m/m and 85 gr. Sierra h p. It hit left side of his neck and came out the right side, made a finger size hole clear through. Those are the only two I've had exits on. It always amazes me how tough badgers are.

Same here; ranchers hate 'em, green light, shoot on sight.
This one was munching a previously shot rat when she encountered a 32gr NBT out of my 11-twist M700 204 at 226 yards. No exit, just DRT.
After a few hours of shooting sage rats, when a badger appears out of his hole, it's like shooting an elk-sized target in comparison.

Immature Tunnler. Hadn't been shooting prairie dogs that long and you'd of thought we were ringing the dinner bell. Just came flying in out of nowhere.
Shot another mature one later that same day. He made it back in the hole. Would have liked to have seen him close up but I'm not complaing that he died eventually.

We were out shooting squeaks again yesteray. My buddy got another badger with his 6 m/m Rem. 75 gr. Barnes Verminatpr. 124 yds., female, 15 lbs. 11 oz. The bullet made a pretty good mess, went in the left eye, there was so much blood we couldn't tell where it exited. We didn't want to handle it t

Sounds like a Great day! Nice good size lady there. They sure are a wonderful looking beast with the markings on there faces. Reminiscent of a African Gemsbok with the black and white coloring. One of my bucket list animals. But for now I'm still pleased with poppin' every one of these fur lined man hole covers I come across.
