Richardson Ground Squirrels

Or as the they are more commonly called around these parts; Flickertails. Half sized prairie dogs basically.
Got a long awaited chance to head out to a friend's childhood farm and blast a few out in the pastures surrounding the yard. Made the trip with .22, .17 hmr and .204 in tow. Turns out all I used was the .17. Wanted to turn a few into mist with the 204 but the pastures were overgrown from abundant amounts of rain this summer so shots were averaging literally 15-20 steps in front of the Ranger. Man what fun. Gonna try and post a couple videos but they might have to made into a GIF. We did get lucky and found a few running around under a creep feeder. Just had to wait for a safe presentation.
