Braving the cold

Bill K and I decided to brave the cold and snow for a little sage rat action. The sky was bright and sunny and the rats were active.
Hard to believe that they would be out, they were and did we have fun. Field temp. ranged from 14 degrees to 16 degrees when
we quite at 11:30

Is that just a hyphen between the "NW and 13" on the digital display or is it actually 13º BELOW zero??? That -13º F looks mighty chilly to me.

Do you have seat warmers on those benches????

Thanks for posting the photos.

Believe me it was Minus 12, when we drove in and set up. But crazy as it seems, the squeeks/skippy were running all over the place. Each of us shot over 100, with very few misses. Then again maybe it was Varmint Shooter and I that were the crazies. Fun anyway and the truck heater felt really good, when we packed up and left around 1130 hrs and then the temp had climbed clear up to 16 above. Bill K

N.E. Commie Kalifornia. But in the best part of the state, not the same as the central and coastal Lib area. People are still good people and not into the anti=everything that made the state great. Bill K

So Bill, why did you replace the table-tops, to make them longer? We use those same tables (great, because they swivel 360 degrees) but with the factory tops.

Looks like huge fun!

Okay Bill, snow on the ground here too, but Skippy doesn't seem to mind one bit.

Here's my buddy Dan having his way with Skippy in the cold using our friends range land fire truck for some elevation:

And our guest of honor, Skippy. After a very robust flying lesson, he crouched down in his hole, never to emerge again......

Now if this dang snow would just melt, we'd really get into some great rat shooting. The WX looks purty wet for the next week or so, but we're sure wanting to get out again for more rodent flying lessons!

The original table top, too me, was just to short, from front to back, I like more room and there are patterns out there, for guy or gals that want them longer and maybe just a little more room, than the original tops have. I guess it comes down to what you like and/or want. My table, as you see is also a 360 swivel and it just works better, with the larger top, for me.

Rick.. Yes I see snow there also, and like down here, the squeeks are not minding it one bit, this year. They are out, in force, and running all over in a few of the pivots we (Varmint Shooter) and I give lessons in. :P Bill K :)

After several days of snowy, cold, nasty weather, a nice sonny day arrived and off I went. Guess where
to, the rat patch and they were abundant.
