Sunday morning i got a call from my uncle that he had shot a coyote and wanted to know if i wanted it for the hide. I jumped in the truck and picked it up . We talked awhile and asked if i wanted to go out that afternoon . I figured why not i needed to get out anyway.
That evening we met up and got to our location . We sat up from a hill in the pasture with three oak trees to break up our out line over looking a bottom with a creek in it. I had just got settled in and was thinking to myself i could imagine a coyote cruising along the fence at the bottom of the hill. About that time a group of birds flew out of some trees by the creek . I started scanning and sure enough i saw movement . As it walked down the creek bank i was waiting for the best time to take a shot . Finally the coyote stopped broad side at around 150 to 200 yards guessing did not have a range finder with me . I was shooting my rem 700 in 22-250 .

Thanks i forgot that was a female kind of a small compared to what i am use to. I will probably be shuned for using a 250 and posting it on a 204 forum

Congratulations on a fine coyote Clint!! The old 250 will never die for sure. Post em as you shoot em my Friend!!

Thank fellow 204 members. Melvin has a group hunt we did that he will post up sometime and yes 204s were involved.
