Checking Water!

Post by vmaster59 »

Shawn and I went out to check the water and feed the cows today. Stop by a water hole and found a few hogs having fun. The old Ruger M77 in 243 Win with a 70gr Nosler BT put a stop to some of the fun. Nail these two before they could get up a good head of steam. Who say you can't do quick follow up shots with a bolt action rifle.

I remember a few years back, hunting with good friends. The one guy was shooting a 700 Remington in '06. He jumped a big Muly in the brush, when he started shooting, I thought he was shooting a darn autoloader!
Thanks for sharing, and yes, that looks like some good eats!
