I'd guess it all depends on what bullet you would want to shoot, I perfer the smaller grain bullets so the 204 suits me just fine, But if I were going to shoot 40 grain and above I might go with the 22-250, I had smoking coyote load with the 40 grain HP's out of my 22-250. But the 35 and 32 grain bullets for the 204 worked as well if not better, I have shot a few coyotes out past the 300 yard mark and they dropped like they had been hit with a 300 mag.

shoot the 204 for a full coyote season and you will convince yourself.

Its all about bullet selection. I purchased my 204 almost two yrs ago after alot of research. I wanted to use the factory offerings. Started with Win 34 JHP. They worked good except if you hit big bones...like the one I shot too far back in the hip...ran away! I then went to 32 gr Vmax. They worked but I could see the potential for blowups. This year I sighted in for 45gr Hornady SP. They work AWESOME!!!!! The entry hole is super small...almost not noticable, the exit hole is super small as well...maybe two stiches. They are accurate in my gun and buck the wind really well. This will be my yote bullet for now on.

I use the .204 as my main coyote rig. I usually take about 5 coyotes a week with it and would not reccomend using the 32 gr. V-Max unless you take shots under 150, past this I seem to get runners. Ive finally got some 35 gr. Bergers loaded up and from what I hear they are really good.
