This past weekend G-Force and myself and some other lads went looking for some jackal.
This particular farm is notorius for excessive jackal over population. (Killed 44 in 3 nights so far)
We only managed four jackal for various reasons (missed shots and rain/cold front/mist).
The first one fell to a late afternoon/dusk day call and Gé's .243 AI.

The other three jackal were all taken early evening with the 243AI and my .204 Ruger.

Gé also managed to kill this porqupine with his Walther P22 and a little bit of fancy footwork.

At around 01h00 or 02h00 we had to give it a rest, mist and cold were extreme. We spent the rest of the night sleeping in the pickups and woke up at 06h00.

After waking up we took some geese at longer distances.
The geese cause havoc in the crops. So we kill them by all means necessary.

Ludwig managed two clean kills with my .204 at over 500yards each.
I also got two kills with Gé's .243AI, the longest one being 534meters! (586y)

Here is one of my shots at 541yards.

It was cold but very very enjoyable.
