Looks like a good night.. Is that the norm or was that that a very good night? Are you using a 204 ? What are the eyes looking at the camera showing up behind you? Did ya miss one

Yes, end of Nov till the end of Feb is the best time to hunt jackal as all the young jackal are begining to hunt on their own. Sometimes you can shoot the whole family group, brothers, sisters, helper, father and mother on one stand.

On the first stand we took 5 young ones the mother and the helper, the next one we shot 3 young, the third 3 large males and on the last one the male of the first stand.

Jackal and caracal are a real problem with the sheep and goat farmers here in South Africa as there are no larger predators to keep their numbers in check. Think the same with you in the US with the coyotes.

On the left its me and on the right is my brother in law.

I'm using a 22-250 Rem with 26" Musgrave barrel and RSA Lyttleton single shot action. It's the action our Bisley teams are using.

I am thinking of building a 204, but with our legaslation its a real drag to apply for fire arms. My 270 win is in proses since September last year.

Look like coyote. Good job! a 22-250 is a great gun for what your doing. Sorry about the problem getting rifles there. A 32gr bullet in a 20 cal would be a nice choice for the little dogs but you seem to be doing good with what you got. Thanks for sharing
