First one with a 38 gr wildcat

Was enjoying a cup of coffee yesterday morning when I spotted this little fella wandering around out back on the slough bottom. Figured it was a good time to test out the 38 gr wildcat out of my 204 T3 lite. Tiny entrance hole, and a quarter sized exit. DRT

This was my view from the deck. Red arrow points to where he lays.

Gube--Must be nice to be able to shoot coyotes right from around your house. Good shooting and thanks for sharing the story. Next summer, I'm going to load up some of those 38 gr. Wildcats and give them a try. I only have about 100, but maybe I'll find a magic load after shooting 10 or 15 of them and then I can take them out after prairie dogs.

Wildcats is a local bullet maker out here in Alberta. I have some info about them in a previous thread just below this one (as of today) in regards to "The first one for the 204 T3 lite".

A local bullet maker out here in Alberta used to make bullets primarily targeting long range high BC stuff. As far as I know Richard has sold the business and new owners are taking over. Richard built very high quality bullets and had shipped them world wide. I don't know when the new owners will be back in production but their web site (under construction) has a link on it with a "contact" E-mail.

I bought 600 for myself and a buddy just for coyote use, so they should last me a while.

I did send the new owners an E-mail and this was their reply:

Gary,
We are back in production. At this time, however, we are only making 7mm 200gr bullets until we can get caught up the orders. Once we do, we'll add/re-introduce other bullets to the production schedule. Just so you know, several other bullets will be released before the 20 cal's. So It will be a while until they are available. I'll email you when we start making them again.
