WOO HOO YOTE #2

Post by WYLDRUCKUS »

IT'S A GREAT DAY WHEN YOU SEE A YOTE TROTTING ACROSS YOUR FIELD AT 2 IN THE AFTERNOON. A QUICK RUN INTO THE HOUSE AND GRAB THE 204 AND A COUPLE DISTRESS CALLS AND RUN OUT TO A GOOD SHOOTING SPOT. AFTER ABOUT 15 TO 20 SECONDS ON THE KI-YI HE CAME TROTTING IN AND GAVE ME A 70 YARD BROADSIDE SHOT AND HE 32 GRAIN HORNADY FOUND IT'S MARK. A LITTLE HIGH BUT HE DIDN'T GO ANYWHERE. SORRY ABOUT THE PIC, IT'S FROM MY PHONE.

Way to go!! All that matters is that you made a good coyote out of a live one!!

That's what you call "some nice unexpected afternoon entertainment". Way to go.

I LOVE THEM. MY GUN DON'T LIKE THE 40 GRAIN HORNADYS AT ALL. I AM TESTING OUT SOME 32 GRAIN NOSLERS NOW WITH SOME BLC-2. NOT HAD A CHANCE TO KILL ANYTHING WITH THEM YET, STILL TWEAKING THE POWDER A LITTLE. FOR A FACTORY LOAD THOSE 32 GRAIN HORNADY ARE GREAT. I AM SHOOTING A 3/8 GROUP AT 100 YARDS OUT OF A STOCK RIFLE. REMINGTON 700 VTR 22" BARREL. I DID HAVE THE TRIGGER LIGHTEND UP TO 3# WHICH WAS AWESOME. IT'S AMAZING WHAT A 5# TO A 3# TRIGGER FEELS LIKE. THE COYOTES I HAVE SHOT I HAVE CALLED THEM IN WITHIN 100 YARDS. I WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE SHOOTING A YOTE OUT TO 400 YARDS OR SO WITH THE 32 GRAIN BUT WHY SHOOT THEM THAT FAR IF THEY ARE COMING IN TO A CALL?
