My Daughter who is turning 9 next month loves the outdoors and shooting. I planned to go in with my folks and we were going to get her a .22LR for this up coming squirrel season. Dad mentioned he had his .22 that he would give her which has some sentimental value as my Mom bought it for him when the were married. I painted to stock this weekend and am very pleased with the results. I applied the final coats of clear last night and am going to reassemble the rifle this evening. I think she is going to like it.
Way to go dad! She'll be jazzed with a customized rifle, with her name well done on it to boot. She'll be smiling, but I'm certain Skippy will feel otherwise. Have a great squirrel season, and be sure to post some pics of her in the field with the new piece.
Job well done.

That is great, my little girl would love one. She thinks my 10/22 with black syn. stock is "icky".
Peace and love will get you killed. Unarmed helplessness is a welcome mat for evil. Self-defense is the most powerful, driving instinct in good people everywhere. To deny it is evil personified. Ted Nugent.
That is truly a work of art! Amazing job. Now I gotta make sure Grace (3 1/2) doesn't see it. She wanted a Cinderella Pink Rifle for Christmas
