I love my Pole Cat. But I have seen a unattached one, like the Pole Cat, that the yoke swivels 360 at allpredatorcalls.com I may have to have it in the future.

No contest when it comes to bipods. Harris all the way. I'm still using one of mine I purchased in 1970, and it's still going strong. Another thing to consider here, is that all branches of our military use the Harris series of bipods. All others are 'come-lately' models that offer no improvement over the Harris.

Here's one of my Harris S Series (swivels) mounted on one of my walkabout rifles, a Sako Vixen L461 in .223 Rem in the field:

As for sticks, I use the Stoney Point collapsable units that deploy like tent poles with the elastic cords. They carry well on my pack, and deploy in about three seconds when needed. Another option is to make a set of sticks suited to the type of shooting you do. The set shown was made from scrap aluminum tubing with rubber hose in the crotch area to protect the rifle, and a 1/4-20 pivot bolt with a nylock nut, covered in camo tape. They were made for me by a retired police officer/varmint shooter here who sells them for extra cash, very cheap. They do not collapse, only fold flat, but are perfect for sitting or prone:

Another vote for Harris. I have been using my dad's for a year or two and they are ancient! But still work wonderfully

Wow Rick! That is some beautiful landscape you hunt on there!
