Chicken anyone??

Post by Glen »

Got me a coyote with the 40gr Bergers at a little under 100yds. Entrance hole was just smaller than a golf ball. She made it about 60yds into the woods where her hunger pains were no longer an issue to either of us. I gave some female invitation,, waited 2 minutes & went to the chicken distress. She came into the hayfield & right to me in under 2 minutes.

Entrance.

No exit. The bullet went in along the ribs & back into her hips somewhere.

Glen,
She looks big. Did you weigh her?
Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.

WTG Glen!! Those 40 Bergers did a number on her. We get this next storm and cold weather behind us, the river should be froze solid enough that the 'yotes will be able to cross and come to the calls. Carl

Nice goin Glen. Never thought about chicken sounds, but it certainly makes sense. Although, I was a little worried about what I was going to see when I saw the title of your post and scrolled down and saw you holden a dog. Tastes like Chicken?? :chin:

Nice job Glen! Have you shot any other coyotes with the 40 bergers? if so, what has the general performance report been?

Nice shootin Glen. That's a lot of damage from the 40 Berg. Must of been a result of the entrance angle. He must be soup inside :eew:

Thanks guys!! That's the 1st with the Berger for me & 2nd coyote overall. The 1st fell to the mighty 221!! I believe it was due to the location. The ribs were tore up right there real bad/good. As far as mush inside,,, I'll just say the blood trail was rather easy to follow.
