Ladies and gentleman..We got him!

Post by Hawkeye Joe »

This one almost got away. I had him lined up in the sights and gently squeezed the trigger and click.NOTHING IN THE CHAMBER  . He ran about 10 yards or so and stopped. I quickly cycled the bolt as quietly as I could and cracked off a quick shot at about 80 yards. He then ran out of sight(about 20 yards). I thought I missed :chin: . He did run off kinda slow.Hmmmmmmmmm... At first light I went to take a look. NO blood :!: . I then started to track him with NO sign of blood. I looked up and there he was  My first payment on a new Foxpro  . That's the first Fox for my CZ 22mag. I was using the Remington 33 gr Vmax's @2000 fps. Looks like the bullet went through with about a 22 cal hole on both sides.

Way to go Joe!!

Aint those little CZ's special??

The Mossberg you were looking at has to be cycled twice to load the chamber after dropping them down the tube. One cycle to grab the round & the next one chambers it.

And here I thought you meant the pens in your PM this AM.

Mossberg :duh: You mean Marlin  . Thanks, You need to try that WMR Remington ammo. Very accurate stuff! I was surprised to see a pass through with the 33gr Vmax.

Nice going, Hawkeye. Is that the same one that has been frequenting your place for so long now? What does the pup think of him?

He outsmarted me a few times  . Just a few days ago while walking through my kitchen with rifle in hand, The barrel cought on one of the pans hanging above my island. You know, the ones you don't use :wall: . He must of heard it because by the time I got outside, he was gone  .I don't think that's the only one. I did see a bigger one  I think
Buddy didn't like him. He would run by barking and biting at him. I guess you could call it a doggie drive by  .

Thanks Whistler, The fur is nice except some brushing on the rear legs. You can see the bullet exit on his chest.
