The beast is dead...

Post by BowHuntingFool »

Well I had a great weekend calling the Coyotes in the north Kettle Moraine Forest! I went to a stand yesterday and got busted pretty quick, I never seen the Yote but he was barking for about 10 minutes or so, I called back then nothing! About an hour goes by then he shows himself about 260 yards out, I take a shot and way High. The dog runs and I take another shot and still high! I called it a night.
Went back to the range today and spent some serious time Dialing in the VX II and got it right where it needed to be at 100 yards, .5 inch high! I went from the range directly to a new stand and started off with 2 howls followed by a bird in distress, nothing after about 15 minutes, I repeat and wait. Then at the edge of the field he shows up, looks around so I lip squeak, he comes into the field but know somethings up. He starts to run away, I barked twice and stopped him broadside @ 158 yards and dropped him in his tracks, bang-flop!!!!!! The 40gr V-Max put a small entrance hole and no exit hole!!!! I love this gun and what a great sport!!!!!!!! Heres a couple of pics!

Good job on the coyote, looks like a good sized one. Did you by chance weigh it?
Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.

BHF: Good job, bud! Looks like we've got another convert, guys. ;) If you like the 204 now, just wait till you get turned loose in a PD or ground squirrel patch! Oh yeah!

Great pictures of you and the coyote Bowhuntingfool. I grow up in North Prairie and use to hunt the south end of the Kettle Moraine park back in the 50s. There use to be fox all over the place back then. Any ways nice pictures and welcome to the forum.
