Used my Mathews bow.....

Post by Keith in Ga »

last Thursday to kill my first deer of the year. I had surgery early in August, and it put my bow shooting on hold for a while. My third hunting trip produced a nice 8-pt, shot at a long.....8 yards! I saw three bucks, and killed the biggest one. I'll try to post a photo later when I have more time.

Nice Keith. That looks just like an 8 pointer I shot opening day last year. I've been hitting it pretty hard this year, but no big guys have walked in front of me. Firearm opens Saturday up here in Michigan! :D

Great looking deer especially when one gets it with stick and string. Way to go
I may head out to the tree stand in the next few days. The deer are rutting big time and are responding well to grunts and rattling. My buddy and I are going to try and capture on video of me shooting a big whitetail. There are at least three big boys that have shown up that will score between 175 and 190.
