I was wondering why you sold the Caldwell, are they not any good? I was considering getting one but now wonder if I might be making a mistake.

GaCop: One of our crew had a Calwell BR Rock front rest.....Chinese-made, all adjustments loose and inaccurate due to sloppy tolerances, kept coming loose all the time. He sold it and got a Sinclair.......he's glad he spent the extra bucks for a quality American-made product. I use one myself, never have looked back. It's worth the few extra bucks to get quality castings, excellent powder coating and stainless steel hardware and accrutements.

Better than a rolled-up jacket, but there are better alternatives. JMO

GaCop
Neither the Caldwell Fire Control or the Rock BR belong to me
They belonged to a friend of mine that passed away a short time ago
I own two of the Sinclair front rests

Thanks for viewing my thread

I have one of those Caldwell BR front rest. I got it real cheap years ago and it works for me. I'd be afraid to try a Sinclair because I know I would want one.
