Too many elk rifles, selling my long range custom Mauser in .330 Dakota (.338 Magnum based on the .404 Jeffery case).

Rifle is in absolute perfect condition, action is a Mark-X Mauser, claw extractor, controlled round feed.
Barrel: Shilen Select Chrome Moly @ 26"
Stock: Custom Black English Walnut, blonde with dark figure, Pachmayr Decelerator pad @ 13.5" LOP, checkered, rosewood forend tip & grip cap
Scope: None, but does includes Leuplold QR mounts with QR 30mm low rings
Rifle and mount/rings are all matte finished

Package includes 60 rounds of Dakota unprimed brass, RCBS custom dies, 40 rounds of loaded ammo (Barnes/Speer) and loading info. This caliber will easily launch a Nosler or Barnes 210gr at 3,100 fps, or a 250gr hammer at 2,900 fps. It is one of the finest elk and large game calibers available. Don Allen of Dakota killed the big five in Africa, polar bear, grizz with it, and commented that of all the calibers available, he'd hunt the entire planet with the .330 Dakota with confidence, and it was his own personal favorite caliber.

The rifle shoots all bullet weights into less than MOA with good handloads. It loves Nosler Partitions, Speer Grand Slams, and Barnes X-Bullets.

The .330 Dakota is a blown out and necked down .404 Jeffery case, UNBELTED MAGNUM (the way they all should be!)

This rifle is on display in the Nosler Pro Shop. I'll take photos if anyone has serious interest; PM me.
Price Complete: $1,250 + UPS SOLD

Nope, the $ from the Dakota pays wifey back for letting me spring for the last Cooper. No new toys on the immediate horizon.......yet. ;)

When I was up at Nosler yesterday picking the rifle up, I noticed that they have lots of powder again on the shelves. Maybe things really are starting to losen back up once again. I picked up a few pounds of H335 and Benchmark for the varmint rifles.....as I shoot so much H335, I'm thinking about making it the standard powder in all my 223 case-size rifles to keep logistics more simple as it always seems to be available more than most others, at least around these parts.

Bummer is, who wants to change powder in some accurate shooting rifles to work up new loads? Not me. What to do? :chin:
