Hi Jason. What quality are you wanting? I'm building another one right now & have another that I just finished but it has the best components that be purchased down to Geissele triggers & some parts cerakoted by X-werks. All 204 AR's I build have match grade barrels. I just sold a discontinued Rock River 204 upper and if you want something cheaper than a custom, I'll keep my eyes open for you. By the way, My personal 204 AR I built with a 24" White Oak barrel shoots 3 shot 1/4 MOA at 100 yards. I have on a good windless day shot sub MOA at 400 yards. The one I have built already has a 24" WOA fluted match barrel & 90% Seekins parts & the one I'm building is going to be a walk around/truck AR with a Wilson Combat 18" fluted mid weight barrel. If I can answer any questions for you, let me know.

Thanks for the quick Reply!!! I am by no means an expert on guns and really don't know a lot about the AR. I've been p dog hunting and have reloaded a lot for my tc 204 and just bought a AR so I figured I'd pick up an upper for it. I don't need anything custom or top of the line. Just looking for something Midgrade to plunk with. With that said I'd like to stay less than $800. I could go higher if needed but I don't want to drop a lot of money bc realistically I'll only shoot it a few times a year. I would prefer a flat top bc I am putting a 4x14 leupold scope on top.
Thanks for your help!!! If you have anything that might work or you find something, let me know.
Thanks again

I have just built 2 AR 15's using the Wilson Combat 18 inch fluted match grade barrel. The first one was expensive using 2A Balios Lite upper, lower and handguard.
But the one for me was the same barrel with a $89 upper with no F/A, a $100 BCG, a $79 Carbon Fiber handguard (12") and a $70 titanium gas block.
Got 10% off the barrel for being a veteran, so about $300. So you can build one 204 upper for way under $800 and will be super accurate.

You won't be disappointed with White Oak. They are some of the finest barrels I've ever shot. I know it's not their own barrel but the way they ream the chamber makes a huge difference. If you get tired of it, PM me, I want it!

What would it cost to have you build me an AR upper like the one in the picture?

I have a 204 Ruger upper that I would part with. It's a DPMS upper receiver, DPMS 24" Fluted 204 Ruger SS barrel, DPMS gas block (Picatinny top), charging handle and round metal DPMS hand guard. This was originally a .223 DPMS Bull barrel upper. I swapped out the barrel a couple years ago but never really used it much. Except for the like new barrel there are a few dings and scrapes from its previous life. I'd say the round count is around 40-60. It was very accurate as I recall. I'm keeping the BCG for another upper. $225 shipped. PM me if interested.

Little John. It would actually be illegal for someone to build you one, unless they are a dealer and FFL holder. However you can ask and post a notice that you are looking for a upper in 204,and buy from someone selling one, or have someone in your area or a gun shop, aid You in buying and putting together a upper for yourself. It is not a major or complicated project. Then you and they will remain legal and not come under the radar of ATF, etc. Just a thought, since no one has offered a answer to your question. Bill K

Exactly how is it illegal to build an upper for another person?

You go ahead and build one for him, sell it too him and see. I knew I should not have even offered info or a way for him to obtain a upper. Bill K

I did not know of any inappropriate action of buying parts and assembling an upper for another, now a lower is another story.
That's the part that has to go through an FFL.
Thanks,
Jimmy

I stand corrected, read his statement wrong. Upper is fine, the lower now that is another story. Sorry. Bill K
