WTB 204 Ruger brass
Have a friend who just picked up a gently used Savage model 12 in 204 last night, now need to introduce him to reloading. Any one have a pile of empties that doesn't reload? Let me know what you have and what you need. Thanks. I should have maybe warned him before hand how addictive this can become. Oh well, he'll forgive me but not sure about his wife!
Take a kid to the range, both of you will be glad you did. remy3424

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass
Looking for used to SAVE money, I can get new Win brass at Midway for $25.99/100 regular price when they have it in stock. Midsouth has Hornady for $48.88/100 for new brass plus shipping in-stock now. Joe, that ($50) is a little more than I want to pay for once fired brass. Thanks though. Still open to offers.

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass
it might be awhile if you are waiting on winchester brass, we have had it on backorder with more than one distributor for months now. It seems to be out of stock at all the online reloading supply houses.

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass
Any interest in parting with half or maybe all (depending on price) of the fired brass and maybe the Win brass also?

Ok friend really must have caught the fever....he wants enough to load up 1000 rounds...maybe I was a little quick to offer to load things for him. I guess we will order-up matching cases for him. Thanks guys.

I gave away the used Hornaday brass I had. Told the guy he was getting what he paid for! No offense meant, just don't like the stuff.

+ ONE on that.RAMOS wrote:I gave away the used Hornaday brass I had. Told the guy he was getting what he paid for! No offense meant, just don't like the stuff.
That stuff will never see the inside of my gun room again......ever. The worst excuse for brass cases I've ever had the displeasure of trying to uniform and prep. Worthless. (IMO)
Lapua.......are you paying attention? If you make it, we'll buy it......

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass
...and Hornady brass costs more than the Win or Rem...what is wrong with that?? the above comment might also be why most offers were for Hornady brass...Love their Vmax bullets for everything except my Rem 204 tube.

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass
Interesting thing about Hornady brass... I have a 6.5mm Creedmoor and Hornady is the only manufacturer. The stuff is wicked nice. Out of the box I would compare it to Lapua, but I know that Lapua would last longer. Regardless, not all of their brass is bad. My Savage LRP in 6.5CM is a fairly consistent sub 1/4 MOA rifle with Hornady brass right out of the box. No prep necessary except chamfering case mouths.
