Info On the Leupold VX-3 CDS

Believe it or not I now have 2 guns with the VX-3 CDS Scopes Both are sighted in But Its taking me a long time to commit and choose the load I want to use to use up the $60-$100 Turret. But Being almost ready does anyone use the CDS system? If so I have a few questions. Do I need to choose a zero? What Does The Turret go down to for instance if want to shoot somethin at 30 yards does it have a marking for this? How accurate its the system? Is it only itervls of 50? Thanx!
