laser range finding scopes ???

I have noticed there are a few manufacturers producing laser range finding scopes now, do any of you fella's have any experience with them and what do you think ???

I'm all for the concept, but the power range and reticles are not aimed at the varmint hunter. Also, I usually bring 3 or 4 rifles to a prairie dog town. 4 range finding scopes would add a lot of expense.

I shot PD's and ground squirrels with a retired Army Colonel friend of mine with one of the spendy Euro units...not impressed, too huge and bulky, thick reticle as mentioned, too high off the receiver to get a proper cheek weld, and to me just appeared to be a large beast atop the nice rifle. Much too expensive also. They may find their way into the general marketplace, but it's going to take a few more years until they can reduce the bulk and make them more asthetically pleasing.
Oh, the optics were great.......

Thanks for that fella's, I have been looking at the Weaver unit it seems quite refined compared to the other 2 that I have seen. What was the accuracy of the range finder like ???
and did you try to track the scope around a target ??? Oh while I'm here what do you think of the Leopold LRT scopes ???

Sorry not "LRT" it was Leopold "LPS", bloody idiot ! they look the goods but has any one got one ???
