Bushnell customer service

While out hunting I lost the top cap to my scope. I called Bushnell and explained the situation and asked them if they could send me another one for free. They said it was not their policy and I had to buy another one! Although it wasn't a lot of money, I was very disappointed that I spent all that money on a scope and they wouldn't replace a $4 part as a courtesy to me.
