Scope with canted reticle

Post by acloco »

I have been tussling with this scope for a bit. Actually, been tugging at me, trying to get over that this scope has a 15 degree of the entire reticle to the left.

Thought it was me not getting the same cheekweld every time, but now, it twas not me, it is truly the scope reticle.

I ran a box test on it today - perfect....except the box does not have any right angles to it.

Will send it in on Monday and hope for the best.

I am the second owner, purchased on the net. Burris Signature 8-32x44 with mil reticle.

I really like the scope - very clear. The mil reticle lines are just right - not too thick or too thin.

Will send it off on Monday to Burris.

I've used Burris's C/S a couple of times in the past 5 years that involved ring screws and rings. No problems, they just needed the model #, how many and where to send them.

Update 6/18/09 - I called Burris to find out the status. Person said scope was "on the cart, being distributed for repairs". Expect 3-4 week turnaround time.

Good luck & hope it works out. I just sent a Nikon in myself on Wednesday for a turret/reticle adjustment issue.
