cooper mounts?

Post by Ruger No. 1 »

My dad has a cooper model 52 (.270) and is planning on useing it for deer hunting so we went and got a leupold to put on it, however when I went to mount it I noticed that the mounts were spaced to far apart for the tube to fit. :wall: Now I would really like to keep the scope, so are there any mounts that could shorten the ring to ring distance and allow the scope to fit? I tried looking around but I couldnt find any for this model.

I had the same issue with my short Nikon. I found a longer base for the front. I must add, it's been solid as a rock and not noticeable when shooting or loading magazine.
